Panama is a pathway to the continents and a link between the oceans, the Pacific and the Atlantic.
Findings, however, indicate serious concerns for Panama, and neighboring Central American countries, because of the high density of plastic waste in the ocean ecosystem.
The National Association for the Conservation of Nature reports that the majority of Panama City's beaches and rivers are contaminated with plastic trash due to lack of awareness for waste management, causing major problems for fisherman and negative impact on mangroves and their wildlife.
Apart from the fact that I immediately felt at home in Panama City, I have hardly seen any architecture and interior design community that is so supportive and full of contructive criticism.
We received tons of support and valuable insights, and even got to connect with the top-end architectural and interior design firms interested in specifying our Greenscreen Sea-Tex™ solar control fabric.
Special thanks to Gilberto Gongora and his team from Hunter Douglas Panama for making this event a true success.
